When A Man Says He's Not Ready for a Relationship-Yet...

     So, so, sooo many women have encountered the man of their dreams, he's attractive, he's ambitious, he's successful, he's single, and the chemistry is there until he says the fated words.....I LIKE YOU BUT I'M JUST NOT READY FOR A RELATIONSHIP -cue dramatic music.

The question is  what does that really mean and what should you do?


LADIES SAY......

Pretty much when a guy says this he means "let me see if I can first find something better than you and if I don't then we can be in a relationship."  From there on a woman needs to evaluate what she is looking for, if she likes him then she should hang out with him but not do any type of relationship behavior such as have sex, or let him take up too much of her time.  Ultimately if she wants more she should just really leave him alone. 










FELLAS SAY.........
Just because a man says that he is not ready for a serious relationship
doesn't mean that he doesn't like you, it just means that he is not 
willing to commit.  There could be several reasons why he is not  willing to commit.
One reason could be that he is more interested in his career and to fellas relationships are taxing and take up a lot of your time.  
Another could be that he is just doesn't want to be hurt.  In closing he may want you to be there just not as a serious relationship.  Ultimately the decision is up to you, do you want to wait for him or just move on.

So one thing that I love about being a Socialite is that it forces one to learn a little about everything that is going on on the social set. So I was checking my FB and got a message from this artists YC-the cynic with a link to his album. I listened to and fell in love. It reminds me of old school rap, watching fine basketball players hoop on the neighborhood court. Check him out we all need a break from the autotuned pop rap. This one is called State Id.

Vegas Night Club

Vegas Night Club


So the Urban Socialite checked out Vegas Night Club last night.  Vegas night club is a brand new spot.


Location:  Vegas night club is located in Newport News all the way down Warwick Blvd.  damn near in Williamsburg!
Pros: Last night was Thursday ladies night and ladies get in free.  Well drinks are 1 buck before 9!

Cons: Unfortunately it was a very slow night (I am not sure if it is always like this on Thursdays or not)  so there weren't very many people in there.

The Dj was Dj Dre.  The music was your typical top 40 mixed in with a little old school which made sense because the crowd was def for the 30+ grown and sexy.

All in all I would say it was aight.  The bartenders were very welcoming.  I am just not sure if Thursday nights are the best nights to go on.  This club is cool if you want to get cheap drinks and don't want to be bothered wit people touching your butt all night long.

So today i attended one of Biz Spotlight's networking luncheon and all I have to say is if you haven't gone yet why not?  What is Biz Spotlight you may ask?  It is a network of locally owned businesses who gather to network with one another.  On top of it, if you join the network you are provided with a discount from several of the businesses in the network.   Attending one of these luncheons is a great way to get your business out there amongst the general public!  Not only do you meet other people who can assist you with you business but you also are provided a forum in which to bounce ideas off of other knowledgeable individuals.

Enjoying Your Life

So no doubt I am a little jaded when it comes to Valentine's day and believe me I was just as cynical about  all those happy Valentine's day texts as everyone else.  However, I certainly was not bored!  Just because you are single on Valentine's day doesn't mean you can't spend it with the person you love the most  YOU!!!  So I went out a with a group of wonderful ladies where we treated ourselves to luxurious mani-pedis and then top notch dining.  If you have never tried then Anthony Vince's nail spa you are truly denying yourself of the finer things in life.  This is not a nail shop but rather an elegant comforting pampering experience!  The one we went to is located in Greenbrier.  Then we went to the Kyoto Japanese Grill also located in Greenbrier.  If you love Japanese Hibachi and sushi you should really check this place out! Not only was the chef entertaining but he also grilled us up a great meal!  I hope your Valentine's day was as great as mine but if it wasn't save these places for next year!!  Get up on it Socialites.
